We caught up with Amiet Dhagat, Head of Data Services Analytics and AI for HCF, at the 2024 Qlik AI Reality Tour in Sydney.

We kick off with Amiet sharing an introduction to HCF (Hospitals Contribution Fund) the healthcare organisation, and his role as the Head of Data Services Analytics and AI at HCF.

Amiet goes on to share some of the challenges which prompted HCF to undertake their latest data modernisation initiatives. I ask him to share some of the business challenges they were facing which prompted modernisation of their data workflows in particular, and where Qlik played a key role in the success of HCF's data & AI initiatives.

We discuss details of the business systems & solutions Amiet and his team implemented, and some of the key business benefits and resulting impacts they have seen on internal processes and in particular how their integration of the Qlik Talend Cloud has positively impacted internal workflows and the end customer?

I asked Amiet to share his thoughts on Qlik's AI Reality Tour Sydney event, and his thoughts on how events such as this are helping organisations understanding the reality of putting AI into practice.

We also take a brief look at the ways in which a trusted data foundation has now allowed HCF to explore further AI use cases throughout their organisation, and a few of his thoughts on what type of related projects peer healthcare insurance industry organisations might consider undertaking themselves?

As well as being part of the event and various presentations and on-stage panels, Amiet had the honour of winning two awards as part of the Qlik Digital Transformation Awards, I asked him if he could share what this type of industry and peer recognition mean to him.

We wrap up with Amiet sharing some details around what further plans he could share with us, without giving away and commercial secrets, with regard to further developing and evolving their data and AI strategy.
