Apple: 'Big on AI' | Nikkei @ Record High| Bitcoin Soars | Oscar 2024 | World Business Report

Apple plans to disclose more about its plans to put generative artificial intelligence to use later this year, Chief Executive Officer Tim Cook said during the company's annual shareholder meeting.

Japan's Nikkei surged to a fresh record high on March 1, buoyed by Wall Street's rebound and in-line U.S. inflation figures. However, elsewhere in Asia, markets remained subdued amid uncertainty over China's economic outlook.

Bitcoin headed for its biggest monthly gain in more than three years on Feb 29 and is within range of a record high as cash rushing to listed bitcoin funds propels a strong rally.

Robert Downey Jr., Robert De Niro, Ryan Gosling, Mark Ruffalo and Sterling K. Brown will compete for the actor in a supporting role Oscar at the 96th Academy Awards, which will be held on March 10.
