In this clip Joe Rogan starts a conversation on AI by asking a question to British Physicist Brian Cox on “Do you fear Artificial Life or Artificial Intelligence”. Moreover he also adds about how Elon Musk scared him with Artificial Intelligence life like movies where Elon Musk also discussed an opening scene of a science fiction movie like Terminator. Brian Cox replies that all the experts he spoke to agreed that the idea of terminator style General Intelligence taking over the world is miles away.
Moreover he adds that it’s not gonna happen soon and he disagrees with Elon Musk on Terminators like AI or Artificial Intelligence. He also adds that at the moment Artificial Intelligence is a focused system and an expert system where it does particular things, you can be scared of AI in a limited economic sense because they are going to displace people’s jobs. And at the moment people are frightened of General AIs taking over the world or what’s called as “AGI (Artificial General Intelligence)”, which is like a Human Like AI Capabilities.
