Budget 2025: Education & AI Boost

In the Budget 2025, the government has announced significant expansions in the education sector. Infrastructure will be created in five IITs established after 2014 to accommodate 6,500 more students, with additional hostel and other facilities at IIT Patna. Additionally, a Center of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence (AI) for education will be set up with a ₹500 crore outlay to foster innovation in the field. The government is also focusing on medical education by adding 10,000 new seats in the coming year, working towards a target of 75,000 additional seats over the next five years. This follows a successful addition of 1.1 lakh seats in the past decade, marking a transformative step in expanding access to quality education in India.
