Sky News Australia has exposed the dangers of deepfakes and powerful artificial intelligence apps being released by the day.
“The tech that started as fun face filters has evolved into a tool for sophisticated scams, criminal forgeries and potential political meddling,” Sky News Science and Technology correspondent Brent O’Halloran said.
“Deepfakes are essentially deceptive impersonations using artificial intelligence.”
