I learned a lot of Python coding in Harvard's CS50 Python. I just couldn't pass the final. I spent dozens of hours on the project, and finally gave up. Then I came back to it and failed again. Eventually, I thought of using AI. It seemed worth a shot, and remarkably it worked. I had to submit a project in fifteen minutes.
I'm sharing this with the world because it shows how powerful AI is. Knowing how and when to use it is a skill. I used AI productively and overcame a challenge very quickly. There is just as much value or more in that than knowing Python. In other words, what is better knowing Python or knowing how to use AI to write Python code for you. Both obviously, however, I argue that knowing how to use AI to write code is significantly faster, more efficient with less errors and wiser than writing code the old-fashioned way.
I learned a lot and tried many times to pass without AI, but then used it and it worked instantly. If I went straight to AI, I would have saved days of my life and a lot of stress. Am I better at Python from the trial and errors? Yes! But time is the most valuable commodity. I hope this video provides some insight on how times are changing. AI for everything. It's a skill. #harvard
