'I lost my job after AI interview': Surge in tech tools used to recruit staff

A make-up artist says she lost her job at a leading brand after an AI recruitment tool using facial recognition technology marked her down for her body language.

Companies are increasingly using AI to scan CVs and score candidates as well as to analyse body language and facial expressions in video interviews.

New figures show the UK ranks second among countries using artificial intelligence in recruiting and human resources.

Her former employer said the visual recognition accounted for less than 1% of her assessment.”
