New AI technology 'can detect over 1,000 diseases before diagnosis' say researchers

A new computer algorithm developed by AstraZeneca, called MILTON, uses patient test results collected by GPs to detect patterns and predict disease, diagnosis many years later.

Experts say the artificial intelligence tool will accelerate the development of more effective treatments and improve ways to stop diseases, such as dementia and lung disease, in their tracks.

The results showed that MILTON was able to predict of over 1000 diseases with high accuracy, and 121 with exceptional accuracy.
