Software Engineers REAL problem with AI and Jobs

AI isn't going to replace all developer, programming or software engineer jobs. Devin is not an AI Software Engineer at all, much less the first one.

But AI is destroying developer jobs in another way. It's making it almost impossible for competent software engineers to have their resumes seen by hiring managers by flooding all the programming job postings with ChatPGT-generated spam cover letters and auto-submitted resumes with buzzwords added to match the job posting list. And it's doing that hundreds of times an hour.

You can't beat the AI at job postings, so the best thing to do is go back to the old ways. At least until the industry figures out how to get around the job posting nightmare AI has created for us.

Let me tell you how we used to do it, and what I'm guessing we'll fall back on for the time being, and I'll give you some advice from someone who has been doing this a long time.
