Ai stocks have been selling off even more than the broader stock market in recent weeks. Whether because of valuation concerns, tarrifs, increasing pressure from Chinese companies, or even just the cyclicality of the market, in this video, I look at how long AI stocks may continue to drop, and 3 stocks that could benefit from the current market crash.
First, I look at why the market started crashing. Narrowing in on tariffs and the increasing trading tensions that are hitting semiconductor stocks and their downstream buyers particularly hard.
Next I look at 2 factors that could prolong the current drop in AI stocks, starting by examining the valuation of AI stocks prior to and after the market correction. I then zoom out and look at the broader economy, and potential headwinds cyclical stocks like AI might face going forward.
Finally, I look at the current market sentiment: the Fear and Greed in the market, to get a sense for whether or not now is a good time to buy.
For each section, I also cover 1 stock that could benefit: the iShares Utilities ETF (IDU), the Vanguard Consumer Staples ETF (VDC), and Intel (INTC) as an example of a potentially oversold AI stock.
