US tech stocks recover as Trump issues AI wake-up call warning

US tech stocks have partially recovered after the launch of China's DeepSeek AI chatbot.

The move caused Nvidia to lose $600bn of its market value.

Donald Trump thinks DeepSeek, which claims it has a technical advantage over US rivals, should be "a wakeup call" for American AI firms.
